Immediately after giving the salams to the right and left, remain seated and intone the word of forgiveness:
Estaghfiru-Llah Estaghfiru-Llah Estaghfiru-Llah
Forgive us O Allah, Clear us of our mistakes O Allah,
Cleanse our spiritual bodies of any subtle distortion of love, O Allah
Allahumma anta Salam wa min-ka salam
O Allah You are Peace and the Source of Boundless Peace
wa ta-barakta ya Dhu-l-Jalali wa-l-Ikram
Blessed are You, full of Majesty, Bounty, and Infinite Generosity
If you are performing additional sets of salat, whether fard or sunna, you may stand now and begin again at the initiation of salat, and come back to this section later. When completed all of the intended rakats of the current prayer time, you may offer the devotions below.
Leader (often someone other than the dervish who lead the salat prayer):
‘Ala Muhammadin Rasulullahi-l-Salawat
Upon the Blessed soul of Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, we invoke blessings:
Allahumma salli ‘ala sayyidina Muhammad
O Allah bless our master Muhammad,
wa ‘ala ali Muhammad
the family of Muhammad,
wa sahbihi wa Sallim
and his companions, and shower them with peace.
Allah’s Glory is limitless! All praise flows to Allah!
wa La ilaha Illa-Llahu wa-Llahu Akbar
And there is nothing apart from Allah! Allah transcends all limits!
Wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa Billahi-l-‘Aliyyi-l-‘Azim
And no power or strength exists except in Allah, the Most High, the Most Tremendous.
Leader chants Ayat al-Kursi, 2.255

Allah Alone. There is no reality or divinity apart from Him,
the Living One, absolutely Self-Manifesting and All-Encompassing.

His Divine Awareness never lapses nor sleeps.
Lahu ma fi-s-samawati wa ma fi-l-ard
All heavenly and earthly planes of being belong solely to Him.
Man dhalladhi yashfa‘u ‘inda-Hu illa bi-idhnih
Who is there who could intercede in His presence, except through His own permission?
Ya‘lamu ma bayna aydihim wa ma khalfahum
He alone knows what causes precede and what results follow from each event.
wa la yuhituna bi shay’in min ‘Ilmihi
and human beings can grasp nothing of His Encompassing Divine Knowledge
illa bima sha’a
except as He wills.
Wasi‘a kursiyu-Hu-s-samawati wal ard
The mysterious Throne of His Presence permeates every heavenly and earthly dimension,
wa la ya’udu-Hu hifzuhuma
as He effortlessly creates, protects and preserves all manifestation,
for He is the Most High, the Supremely Glorious.
Spoken by Allah the Supremely Tremendous

Haqqan La ilaha illa-Llahu
O Truth! There is no reality apart from Allah.
Wahdahu la sharika-Llah
He is Alone; there is nothing beside Allah
Lahu-l-Mulk wa lahu-l-hamd
To Allah belongs the Kingdom and to Him belongs all praise
Yuhyi wa Yumit
The One who breathes His own Life into beings and the One who draws living beings to Himself through the door of death
And He is the Most Exalted
In the Name of Allah, the All-compassionate and Loving
‘Ala inna awliya Allah
Surely upon the intimate friends of Allah,
La khawfun ‘alayhim wa la hum yahzunun
Neither shall there be any fear, nor shall they grieve!
Raise the hands in du’aÑsupplicate freely from the heart to Allah Most Generous, using English or one’s most natural language. In a community prayer one person may supplicate aloud, and the others respond Amin after each request or praise.
One may also use the mode of the salawat in one’s supplication:
A-salatu wa-salamu alayka ya Rasulullah
May Divine Blessings and Peace be upon you O Messenger of Allah
A-salatu wa-salamu alayka ya Habibullah
May Divine Blessings and Peace be upon you O Beloved of Allah
A-salatu wa-salamu alayka ya Sayyid al-awalina wa-l-akhirin
May Divine Blessings and Peace be upon you O Master of the First and the Last
Wa salamun ‘ala-l-mursalin
And Peace be upon all the holy messengers
And praise be to Allah, Lord and Cherisher of all universes.
One should seal the supplication by offering a Fatiha. Allah answers prayers for the sake of the Prophet ‘alayhi salam.
All: Allahumma salli ‘ala sayyidina Muhammad
O Allah bless our master Muhammad....

Sirata-l-ladhina an ‘amta ‘alayhim
the mystic way of those who have received and truly assimilated Your sublime Guidance,
Ghayril maghdubi ‘alayhim wa lad-daallin
those who never wander from the spiritual path and therefore never experience Your awesome Correction.
Bismi Zatika Ya Allah Hu
