The person of mercy, the embodiment of bismillah, exercises utmost intensity of attention at every moment: visiting prisoners, nursing the sick, freeing those who are enslaved, feeding the hungry, educating those who hunger for knowledge, defending the oppressed, consoling the bereaved, protecting orphans, resurrecting hearts that have spiritually died, singing out with hearts that are alive in the Living One, demonstrating the life of praise to new generations, rekindling courage and faith in the hearts of the grandmothers and grandfathers. As the single sun transmits abundant life to a vast variety of living beings, by the Permission of Allah the person of mercy shines forth from Divine Mercy as rays of tender compassion during every second of his or her existence—a truly human existence, all its dimensions drenched with bismillah, overflowing with bismillah, fused with bismillah.
