Whether temporal creatures or angels, all beings on the earthly and heavenly planes bow deeply and constantly before Allah Most High, because no being can be essentially arrogant before Pure Being. All living creatures revere their Lord, consciously or unconsciously performing all that He commands.
(In a formal context, upon chanting the end of this verse, the
chanter and all participating listeners should make a prostration)
وَلِلَّهِ يَسْجُدُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ مِنْ دَابَّةٍ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ وَهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ يَخَافُونَ رَبَّهُمْ مِنْ فَوْقِهِمْ وَيَفْعَلُونَ مَا يُؤْمَرُونَ
Wa lillaahi yasjudu maa fis samaawaati wa maa fil ardi min daaabbatinw walma laaa'ikatu wa hum laa yastakbiroon
yakhaafoona Rabbahum min fawqihim wa yaf'aloona maa yu'maroon
