Ya Imam Huseyn! O you whose place is beyond both worlds! You stand in the desert of the limited self, attacked by the armies of the limited self, to witness to the Reality of love. In you the contagious poison of the ego meets its antidote, the compassion and forgiveness of Allah which inhabits you completely. You are the magnificent inheritor of your grandfather, Muhammad Mustafa the Praiseworthy, and of the Ruhallah, Spirit of Allah, Hazreti Issa, and of all the Messengers and Prophets who came for the sake of the human heart, peace be upon them all and upon their communities throughout time. O Beloved Allah please forgive us completely and draw us ever closer to You for the sake of Imam Huseyn and all those who stood with him in the desert of Karbala!
